jhjkhkh.jpg

Hey guys and girls, I’m back with an exclusive blog post which I have been eager to share with you all about a movie premiering In London - Not to be missed!

I also have an exclusive interview with Mark Haldor, the man behind ’Crossing Over’, so grab your popcorn and take a seat the show is about to start.
No under 18s please.

SYNOPSIS

(Taken from the ‘Crossing Over’ website)
A frustrated Agent submits eight London based actors to audition for the next big Hollywood Movie. Potential career breaks for them and a large payday for her. How will they fair against two LA Casting Directors and the movie's unusual premise?

About Crossing Over In My Words.

Without giving too much away ‘Crossing Over’ is not your average comedy.
It has lots of personality and is the kind of film you wish would go on forever because you want to see what happens next in the lives of these wonderful characters.

Whilst watching the sneak peeks from the fun and quirky comedy, I could see how much passion, love and hard work has been put into the movie by Mark and the cast.

Ever Wondered What Your Life Could Be Like If It Was A Movie?

This is the kind of movie you can relate to in one way or another… i.e. The characters lives and personalities will remind you of everyday people from your own life. Friends, family and people you may see on your commute to work.

From the weird to the wonderful, to the oh so crazy these people will remind you of your mothers, brothers, sisters and friends.

Interview With Mark Haldor

At A Top Secret Location In The Heart Of London.
I Had The Pleasure Of Interviewing The Talented Mark Haldor - The Man behind ‘Crossing Over’ - So Let's Find Out What He Had To Say In Answer To My Questions.

Describe ‘Crossing Over’ In 5 Words?
Cheeky
Passionate
Fun
Endearing
Challenging

What Was The Hardest Part Of Making ‘Crossing Over’?
Competing the film on such a minimal budget was a challenge, though challenges are good and it definitely kept me and everyone involved on our toes to make sure everything was completed to the best standard possible.

How Did The Storyline Of The Film Come About?
I went to L.A. in 2014 and was initially inspired to make a short film, which then evolved into a feature and brought together the talents of everyone involved. I came up with the premise by writing about what I know and picked on traditional British humour as a way to mesh the different characters and stories together within the film.

What Did You Enjoy More… Directing ‘Crossing Over’ Or Starring As Jason?
I enjoyed doing both, but as much as I enjoyed acting in the film, it was a real challenge to direct myself as an actor too. So on this occasion I would have say my preference was directing the film as opposed to acting in it.

How Many Hours / Days Etc Went Into Making ‘Crossing Over’ ?
I could not even begin to tell you how many hours went into making ‘Crossing Over’, but given I conceived, co-wrote, directed, produced, cast, edited, marketed and acted in the film, I can tell you it has taken the best part of 3 years on a part - full time basis to complete it.

Which Films Have Been The Most Influential To You?
Primarily TV programs such as; ‘Spaced’, ‘Not Going Out’, ‘The Office’, ‘Extras’, ‘Episodes’ and ’Toast of London’, along with Films including ‘Lock, Stock and 2 Smoking Barrels’, ‘Kuffs', ‘Four Rooms’ and ‘El Mariachi’ have all influenced ‘Crossing Over’.

Who Is Your Favourite Film Director ?
Robert Rodriguez, because of his creative approach and can do attitude regardless of budget. His book ‘Rebel Without a Crew’ and director commentary tracks from his El Mariachi trilogy were a massive influence in giving ‘Crossing Over’ life and me not giving up.

Which Film Director in The Industry Do You Aspire To Be As Big As?
James Gunn (Guardians of The Galaxy) -  Funnily enough I have just been to see his new film ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2’ right before this interview.

Also Robert Rodriguez - as discussed (‘The Faculty’, ‘From Dusk Til Dawn’), Tarantino (‘Jackie Brown’, ‘Pulp Fiction’) and Tony Scott (‘Last Boy Scout’, ‘Beverly Hills Copy 2’) are all Directors I personally respect and would love to follow in the footsteps of.

If You Could Pick An Actor To Play You In a Film About Your Life,
Who Would Play You And Why?
I would like someone like Chris Pine, Chris Hemsworth or most likely Chris Pratt to play me in a story of my life. Ironically my parents almost named me Chris too!

What Are A Few Of Your All Time Favourite Movies?
Armageddon, Blow, Clockwork Orange, Scent of A Woman, Point Break, Enemy of The State, Jackie Brown, Phenomenon, Robocop.

What Is Your Guilty Pleasure?
Scarlett Johansson films and Doctor Who.

Which Other Character Apart From Jason in ‘Crossing Over’ Can You Most Relate To?
Jonny - because of his dry humour and his awkwardness when he fancies someone…

Can You Speak Any Other Languages.
I did briefly try learn some Japanese last year and I would absolutely love to try and learn German again now I’m older.

What is Your Favourite Charity?
I have previously raised funds for ‘Mind’ mental health and ‘Save The Children’.
I’m now focusing on ‘Orangutan Foundation’, who I am happy to announce the profits from ticket sales for the upcoming Premiere will be donated to.

Have You Got A Date For The Premiere?
I wanted it to be Scarlett Johansson but settled for August 6th instead.
- But the invite stands if Scarlett would like to attend? lol

So that is all for now, hope you enjoyed finding out more about ‘Crossing Over’ and the exclusive little interview with the talented Mark Haldor.

Don't forget to share this blog post with your friends so they can laugh , smile and enjoy crossing over too.

Snoopy And Charlie Brown The Peanuts Movie

Hiya guys and girls Today I am reviewing a dvd which was sent to me a few days ago from mumsnet as I am one of their mummy bloggers myself and my family are very excited to review it for you with half term coming up we would like to see if it gets the half term factor.

The dvd is snoopy and it is due to be released on dvd and blu ray 30th may.

First Impressions Before watching

Me and my family are a big lover of movies, I am more of a chick flick girl but do enjoy the odd children's and family films, my little girl and hubby are a big lover of ice age and other movies. So we was all excited to watch this and find out what the movie was like and if it was one we all could watch and enjoy without me falling asleep or getting distracted by facebook, which i normally do when a film is boring or not to my taste, stay tuned to find out what we think of Snoopy and Charlie Brown The Movie and if we recommend it as a half term movie.

About Snoopy And Charlie Brown The Movie.

In Snoopy and charlie brown: the peanuts movie, good ol’ charlie brown, Snoopy, lucy and linus and the rest of the much loved peanuts gang appear as you have never seen them before in a brand new feature film from the wonderful imagination of charles m. schulz and the creators of ice age. Join everyone's favourite eternal optimist, charlie brown, as he embarks on a heroic quest, while his beagle pal snoopy takes to the skies to pursue his arch nemesis, the red baron. It is a hilarious and heart-warming adventure not to be missed.

What Me and My Family Think Of The Movie.

Chloe loved it right from the start where the children had a snow day which made the start of the film fun and happy, Charlie brown is so sweet and adorable we love him.
We loved the part where charlie goes all shy and red when the red haired girl walks into the classroom. We also loved the part where charlie helps out his sister which shows his really caring loving personality which reminded me of myself.

halfway through chloe got tired so didn't end up watching rest of the film but says from what she saw she really enjoyed it, hubby on the other end lost interest really quick although he was a big lover of charlie brown and snoopy as a child.

I really enjoyed watching it and loved the part where charlie goes all red when the lovely red haired girl walks into the classroom, it is a lovable moment in the film which kinda made my heart melt, I also loved how shy charlie brown is and how innocent he is which makes you love him and want him to pick up the courage to talk to the girl with the red hair.
When watching it lucy reminded me of chloe because she is really confident but really bossy at the same time, even though chloe says she's not bossy, kids aye.
Anyway as you can tell I kind of enjoyed it more then my hubby and daughter.

Overall Verdict

Wow what Can I say I am impressed considering I am fussy when it comes to family and children's movies I was suitably Impressed, Not only did I not fall asleep I watched it without logging onto facebook and replying to all my emails. I didn't even wanna leave my seat to go toilet I was so engrossed and got right into it from the word go chloe also really enjoyed  some of it then got bit distracted and wouldn't sit still as she was tired so she went to bed, hubby also lost interest halfway through so went to bed.

I really enjoyed watching it and loved when charlie brown went all red when the red haired girl walks into the classroom, I really love how innocent charlie brown is he is a very lovable character who reminds me of me, very loving and kind and honest.

I felt the film was at a great pace and easy to follow with lots of lovely characters with all different personalities, from the bossy to the innocent each character has got their own little personality. I also loved some of the soundtracks in the movie which make the movie more fun to watch especially when charlie brown shows of his lovable dance moves.

I do feel the film is aimed more to children, or families who enjoy this kind of film.
Also adults who may have been big snoopy and charlie brown fans when they was younger like my hubby saying that he didn't 100% enjoy it himself but everyone is different.

I would give the movie 8/10 purely for the fact I watched it all the way through and loved the storyline it was really engrossing and I really wanted to see if charlie would pick up the courage to talk to the red haired girl who he as been trying to impress throughout the film.

Questions And Answers.

My Favorite Character Is?
Charlie brown because he is so sweet and innocent.

Which Character Is Like Me?
Tough question I would say I am a bit like charlie brown I have two left feet.

My Favourite Part Of The Movie?
The part where charlie goes all red when the red haired girl walks into classroom.

Would I Recommend This Movie?
Yes and no, id recommend this to families and young children but would say it is aimed more at the children although everyone is different so some adults may like it more then the kids.

Did My hubby And Daughter LIke The Movie ?
Chloe enjoyed it although she got tired and lost interest and so did hubby.

The Journey To London

Taken on my samsung galaxy S3

The journey to soho was a bit hectic although I Love london it was a bit scary,
I am not a fan of the tube and travelling can be daunting for me at times.
But first of all we had to top up our oyster cards £15 on each to make sure we had enough.
Then we had to take a bus to the local train station which is only up the road.

Chloe, Taken on my samsung galaxy S3

We then had to wait for a train to elephant and castle,
The train journey wasn't to bad me my hubby and chloe had fun.
Taking photos on the camera and just enjoying the comfort.

Once we arrived at Elephant and castle,
We had to walk to catch a tube train to charing cross.
The tube was a little daunting but wasn't to bad only had to go a few stops.
But it was very very warm even though it wasn't too busy it felt hot and stuffy.
Once we finally arrived at charing cross we made our way to exit.

Shane then had to get maps up on his phone.
we all began to walk for about 15-20 mins.
walking up roads crossing roads walking up more roads.
To our relief we finally walked up the last road.

We Finally Got There

Anyway once we arrived at The Soho Hotel
we walked through the door walked over to the reception.
We then said hello we are here for the yonderland event, they gave us directions so we walked across the lobby through a double door and down some stairs.

Someone then greeted us and handed us our passes to wear for the event.
We was A bit early but which was not to bad as I got talking to another blogger in the lobby.
Vicky from Life Of My Family And Me who is very lovely feel free to read her blog.

Anyway when it was time to go in we headed to a room which was small but looked lovely.
There was a mini bar with refreshing cold drinks and lovely bar staff who was very polite.
We had a drink and mingled with the cast of yonderland, and other bloggers who attended.
We also mingled with the Cast of Yonderland who were very friendly.

Photo's With The Casts

Family Entertainment

We Also got to have our photo taken on the green screen and had a mini gif image made.
Which was pretty cool and kept a few of the children and adults entertained.
They also gave us a photo print out to keep also which was a lovely idea.

A while later we all went through to the cinema screening room which looked amazing.
We all sat down to watch yonderland series 2 episode 1 and 2.
The whole room was giggling and was really enjoying it.

Without giving too much away

Debbie an everyday mum goes on an adventure!
But her family do not know about her strange job as world saver.
But husband peter is very paranoid about the kitchen cupboard.
As strange things keep occurring !

Chloe asked
Q:How did you get here?
The the cast replies were the following.
Bike,
Helicopter,
Car,
Tube,
Another dimension.

I Also Asked A Question!

The casts of yonderland then replied with a few well known names such as

Mackenzie Crook,
Sean Bean,
Harrison Ford,
David Bowie,

(labyrinth is an inspiration)

Someone else then asked
Q “ So Why Did You Make Yonderland?

A “To make people laugh, And it is good because we are good friends.
The six of us write the scripts together and all work together"

So once the screening finished etc we walked back to main room.
We had another drink and some lovely canapes which went down a treat.
As time was getting on abit we had to leave I was handed a goodie bag.
Which contained a now tv box which will come in handy because we don't have sky at the moment and it would be good to get the channel to watch yonderland because we enjoyed it.

chloe did not wanna go home
Anyway the journey home was a little longer because it was the same day as gay pride.
We had to walk past so many crowds even though it put strain on journey home.
I didn't mind too much because it was nice to see so many people smiling.
loads of lovely costumes and very colourful even saw men wearing high heels.
Thank you london gay pride for cheering up my journey home.
