Do you want to feel your best, get active and love your body again.
May it be wanting to lose weight, gain weight, build muscle or just overall improve your health continue reading to find out more.

Our overall fitness and diet plays a big part not only with our general health but our mental health as well. As someone who has and still suffers with mental health and anxiety I can personally tell you my experiences with how working out, staying active and eating well has improved my mental health as well as my general health and you can improve yours too.

Towards the end of 2019 i was suffering with depression due to personal reasons and had to give up my job at Nuffield's health which I loved, but then I met my new boyfriend who is vegan, and we began dating in December 2019 things started to get better, then in January 2020 I decided to go vegan with him which improved my health Massively.

photo of me and my boyfriend jack

I am not as active as I would like to be but since getting more active and eating better I have gained more energy. I no longer suffer with extreme low iron levels, my body looks better, I feel more confident. I don't feel sluggish after eating and no longer get bloating.

Fitness and diet and lifestyle choices really do play a huge part in health, and we have all been there with addictions, binge eating, skipping meals, being a couch potato putting off going to the gym. Going on weird diets, trying out magic weight loss pills which can do more harm than good.

I Am So Sorry

Hey guys and girls, sorry its been awhile since I last posted,
long story short I wasn't well when I last posted the head pains finally went away after cutting aspartame out of my diet , but did find out I had brain aneurysms that aside not long after all that I was still very poorly and kept being fobbed off by my doctors then eventually found out I had high blood pressure and was put on meds for ages and they wasn't working some time after i was sent for a scan and they had found a tumor on my right adrenal gland which was called pheochromocytoma which is very rare thing to have.

I was put on meds to stop the high amounts of adrenaline which was causing a lot of symptoms such as high blood pressure and always being hot and having hot flashes and had to go for check ups few times a month that brings me to january 2018 when they finally removed my adrenal gland and tumor.

Anyway After been ill for so long and losing my motivation to blog, im slowly going to come back and do more reviews for you on products I am trying and loving. I rarely do a review if i don't like a product partly cos i don't come across ones I don't like often as i read reviews before buying, but on the off chance when i don't like a product i try be constructive rather than been full on negative because i understand that something i don't like someone else will.

Anyway I am rambling again thought I would touch base let you all know I am alive.I hope you are all well, can't wait to share loads more reviews with you all.

Lots of love hugs and kisses

Its Been A Long Time

A Little Update About My Health

Hey guys and girls sorry it's been a very long time but I hope you are all well.
So this is my first blog post of 2017 and i feel really bad for not doing a post already.
However since last year I have not been well and I have been focusing on myself for a bit.

Long story short July last year I had sudden head pains worse than migraines worse than childbirth these pains was so bag they are paralysing and not even tramadol and codeine would touch the pain.

Anyway nearly a year on I still get pains now and then, more so if I am stressed or straining, and one of the main ones that sets my pains of is sweeteners in food some companies don't even label it so even when I am avoiding it I eat something and end up in so much pain laid up on sofa with severe sickness and can not eat it really sucks because I hate been unwell not been able to function.

The cause of my pains from a scan I had showed I have brain aneurysms so I am having to be careful at the moment, so apologies if I do not post as often blog as often I find it hard to do when I am in pain.

I do have other health issues alongside this one of which is my anxiety which comes when it feels like it.
I am Also been tested for a few other things Such as diabetes, and something related to thyroid function.
All these little things are keeping me busy appointments on top of family life so im sorry I am not here often.

I really wish I can remember everything right from the beginning or had blogged about my Head Pains from when it happened but when it all started last year I was in so much pain I couldn't even bare the sunlight coming in the window, and didn't wanna bore you all with complaining about my pains and doctors telling me my scan was fine when it wasn't it as been a long roller coaster but I am hoping to be back.

Im rambling now so I will keep this short and sweet.
I am going to try get a post up real soon of some e juices when I can for you all to read.
I do love blogging it is my hobby my passion It really helps me zone out for a little bit and get lost in my writing, and interacting with my lovely followers you are all amazing and wonderful.

Was thinking of idea for blog post?
Question time with me? ( ask me anything)

What do you think?
If so can comment below with a few questions,

Lots of love

Update October 2016

Hi guys and girls sorry it Has been so long feels like a lifetime since I last was here.
I have not been well since July with the head pains etc have had scans done etc, seen a neurologist but now waiting to see another neurologist who specialises in severe head pains. It is been a pretty rough ride for me i was going to do a blog post on the pains and things but it is such a long story with the pain lasting so long different patterns with the pains etc going to hosp then docs and so on I am still getting pains but not as severe as they was which is a good thing as when they was really bad I kept been sick and meds wouldn't help pain and made me more sick which i ended up losing a stone in weight which sucks big time with already been a skinny Minnie. Also regards to my health I had a dental x ray and need a few teeth out think they must be my wisdom's but seems one is under the gum vertical and on other side tooth growing into bone or something weird. But hoping everything will be all sorted soon.

Enough about that anyway hope you are all well

As some of you may know I gave up smoking a while ago for 2 whole years, but then may this year started smoking again, I know i know I was doing so well and on that note I am going to try give up again this time with the Ijoy lux mod I won a few months ago which I let hubby have and use. Now he has brought himself a mech mod he has given me my Ijoy lux mod back which I am chuffed about.

So you may notice a good few vape related posts over the next coming months so I do hope I won't scare you all off etc if those kind of posts ain't for you that is ok because I will still be blogging about other things when I get a chance so feel free to message me with anything you may like to see on my blog, such has 50 things about me, or any other subject you may feel you like me to talk about and I will try my best to get it on my blog.

Anyway that was a quick update for you all,
I will be back shortly with a review.

Speak soon my beauties

My First Smear Test

Yes Today I am talking about my first smear test
you may ask why and my answer is simple because I care about fellow humans.
I was so scared about having my first smear so am not surprised many woman don't go or put them off but really do wanna share with you my experience and to help inspire others to go book theirs, because it is more important then you may think those few seconds of having a test done can save your life, prevent cancer by catching bad cells early.
Anyway please feel free to read and share my post across your social media.
Guys I know this is about smears but please share this for the woman you know.

Information

As some of you know Jade goody died of cervical cancer back in  march 2009,
A muched loved woman, wife, and mum, jade first discovered she had cancer in february meaning she died a month later.

(Taken from wikipedia) As a result of the publicity surrounding Goody's illness, on 13 March 2009 government health ministers agreed to review the National Health Service policy not to screen for cervical cancer until age 25.

(Taken from boots) What is a cervical smear test?
A cervical smear test is a test of a sample of cells taken from a woman's cervix.
It is not a test for cancer. It is used to detect abnormal cells that left untreated could develop into cervical cancer. It is the best tool to detect precancerous conditions and hidden, small tumours that may lead to cervical cancer. If detected early, cervical cancer can be cured.

The NHS has cervical screening programmes in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland to ensure women are invited for regular smear tests.
Some of the age ranges and screening intervals are being adjusted, and across the UK, the first test will be at 25, then every three years until the age of 49. Between the ages of 50 to 64 the tests are every five years.

Stats and Facts
1 in 5 women don't attend their smears, 1 in 4 (under 30's)
1 in 20 smears come back abnormal but Most abnormality clear up by themselves.
Some require simple removal. Very rare they end up as cancer x

Many women are putting off having smear tests, which is shocking because many people die of cancer each year this month already we have lost some great talent who have died from cancer, yes we all hate the c word but the c word is very very real.

Anyway Below is my experience of a smear.

MY FIRST SMEAR TEST

So anyway I turned 25 in december and as most of you may know smear tests can only normally be done from the age of 25, well This month I had a phone call saying I needed a smear so obviously I booked as lady on phone was saying I was Overdue and it is important.

So anyway I booked the appointment along with another for a bump I have on my chin.
Anyway after I got of the phone I googled smear tests and started to feel scared upset worried, a mixture of feelings any young woman may experience when googling smear tests.

Well with this I Set up a facebook group called Smears Not Tears, for woman to talk about smears and other women's problems and just to come and chat and support each other,
anyway So added all my female friends and then began to ask and get some girls to advise me what it will be like etc.

Many of the responses from the girls were pretty much the same, to the effect that it doesn't hurt it just feels weird, others say they feel a slight discomfort others say they feel nothing.

Anyway I went to the docs spoke about the lump on my face got some antibiotics as its inflamed, and booked a blood test for my bad knees, then sat back out in waiting room, the nurse then called me in for my smear, so i told her how scared I was and it was my first one.

so she said she use the small plastic thing which is called a speculum which by the way does not hurt at all, it just feels warm from where they warmed it up.

After the speculum was put in the nurse then took a quick swap of my cervix,
the whole test only lasted 5 seconds if that and I felt amazing after knowing Its now done,
Now I have to wait 2 weeks for the results, which is the most nerve wracking I guess.

Well now I have had my smear and If you're a woman who hasn't been yet  you're probably thinking what does it feel like well it didn't feel like anything, other than warm then a little swap that was it. many people will say it feels uncomfy ie having to get your bottom half out, but trust me on this doctors have seen it all hairy or smooth.

so don't worry about getting your bits out the doctors and nurses know what they are doing, in fact they are probably pretty used to looking at vaginas just like their used to looking at noses and legs.

some people say they feel a little bit of discomfort when they take a swap it all depends, my advice is to relax hold on to the sides of the chair, tell your nurse before hand you're scared and you like her to be gentle, and if you're really worried nervous or scared take a friend.

But trust me on this Don't Be Afraid  you will be fine, the test only lasts a few seconds meaning plenty of time to go shopping after or to the movies, although some ppl rather go home watch films and relax.

you may want to take a pad with you after some people find they spot or bleed afterwards,
although I didn't experience any bleeding with mine everyone is different.

Anyway Now I have about a 2 week wait to see if My cells are Ok,
or if they need keeping an eye on etc.

Anyway I prob am boring you but here is a link to the nhs about smear tests.
Please note smear tests are not as scary as they look or sound.

This is also a very helpful site

Thanks for reading

Vita coco kids drinks

Hey girls and guys I am back with a small review on vita coco.
I hope you enjoy reading I know its an small review but know a few of you have been asking for me to find kids drinks other then some of the ones you already know about.

so thought id share with you today about the brand and drinks incase any of you haven't heard of them also you don't have to have kids to drink these they suitable for adults too.

Vita drinks make great tasting healthy juices
that most kids love and enjoy.
The juices are not made with just any old water
the water used is coconut water.
Coconut water is healthy and tastes great.
(free from preservatives and colourings)

The two flavours we got from vita coco.

  • Apple and blackcurrant
  • Mango and pineapple

Both of these are mixed with coconut water.
Today Chloe as agreed to be my second tester of the drinks as a child herself thought I would ask her and what she thinks after all she is a child who does indeed speak her mind.

Apple And Blackcurrant

First of all Chloe tried the blackcurrant flavour which is apple and blackcurrant which is mixed with coconut water. After taking a big sip Chloe firsts words were I like it !
she says its very delicious and I asked her if it was better than normal black currant and she nodded her head and said yes mummy it is scrumptious.

Mango And Pineapple

Now for Chloe to try the mango one, Well I am pretty shocked for Chloe who is 5 to say she likes this one too was pretty shocking because Chloe normally only drinks blackcurrant, orange or summer fruits, so she was pretty impressed by the mango one.
Chloe said she would love drink vita coco everyday
 with lunch and dinner.

Now time for me to try the drinks and see what I think.

Blackcurrant And Apple

What I think of the black current one well with being a fussy 24 year old I dont normally like blackcurrant drinks i am more of a strawberry person but I can say this black current is not to bad I think the balance of flavours is pretty spot on not to much apple and not to much blackcurrant

Also think the coconut water just adds that extra special touch to the flavour helping to give it a great taste i would for sure buy the blackcurrant flavour one again as it went down a treat and was very refreshing and tasted great.

Mango And Pineapple

what I think of the mango one I am sorry but its not for me whatsoever the flavours are not for me. the pineapple for me is too overpowering and does not go to well with the mango, the coconut water with these too flavours just didn't seem right.
Thats just my opinion though we all like different things.
it left a dry taste in my mouth,I would not drink the mango one again.

Overall verdict

Overall I am Impressed that my daughter enjoyed both flavours.
I was more so impressed that she liked the mango one as normally she does not like fruits etc and is fussy like me i am impressed that the drinks tasted so nice to her that she said she could and would drink these every day.

I am pleased I liked the blackcurrant as I am not normally one for black currant drinks I have not really ever liked them.
I loved the flavour of this one and how refreshing it was for me and made my feel hydrated and the flavours all worked well.

I was not happy with the taste of the mango and pineapple.
For me the flavours didn't work and didn't seem like they should be together,I think its something as simple as the balance aint right or it might need something to break up the taste it left my mouth feeling dry and made me more thirsty.

Valuelights Mini Sun Lightpad

Hey girls and guys As some of you will already know the other day I wrote an awareness article,
Seasonal Affective Disorder which was a post to help raise awareness for SADS.
If you Have not already read it please have a look as it might be helpful to you or a loved one.
So Todays post is about the minisun lightpad which is a light for people Living with SAD.

So this is more of a talk rather than a review like I normally post when talking about products.
Hopefully this article about the minisun lightpad will be useful to those who who want to know abit more about the lightpad and how it works and how it can be useful to those with SADS.

What does the product look like.

Well when it arrived I totally forgot that the lightpad was arriving
when I took it out of the box I thought someone had sent me an ipad.
Also thought I had won a competition for an ipad or something,
I almost screamed to hubby with excitement like "omg i won an ipad"
I am so glad I did not do that.

it was more like this,”babe i think i have won a tablet”
( you are probably thinking what a wally but hey I dont mind)

The light was light and sleek in a nice protective case
so you probably can see why i got my hopes up and thought someone sent me an ipad
because the size the case and the style and design of the lightpad etc.
The case is not only a stylish protective case for your lightpad.

The case also doubles up as a stand for your light pad
so you can put the light on your bedside table and turn it on when you wake up.
it is so sleek and easy to put away you can put it in your bag and take it to work and use in your office,
Thats if you have a personal office!

How the light therapy works.

(Info on how light therapy works)
taken from the nhs website)

Light therapy is thought to work by simulating the sunlight that's missing during the darker winter months.
The additional light encourages your brain to reduce the production of melatonin (the hormone that makes you sleepy) and increase the production of serotonin (the hormone that affects your mood).

Altering the levels of melatonin and serotonin that are released into your body, during winter months can help ease your symptoms of SAD However, this is based on the assumption that the condition is caused by a lack of light and the effect that this has on the hormones that are released in your brain.

Is light Therapy Safe For Everyone?

You should speak to your doctor before using light therapy

if you have any of the following.

Retinal disease
Macular degeneration
Medication you take which increases your sensitivity to light.
(For example, some blood pressure medications, antibiotic medicines or cancer treatments.)

Overall Views On The Product.

I love the fact that this lightpad was invented to help people living with sads.
I also love the fact the lightpad is affordable to buy meaning you have more money for you.
I guess thats why they call it value lights because you are getting lights at value prices,
Afterall we all love a great bargain well I do anyway.

I love my little mini sun lightpad Its like my very own personal sunshine.
I can take anywhere with me and I will be able to pack it and take it with me
as long as wherever I go has a plug socket I be able to use it when needed which is great.

It would be even better if somehow there could make it cordless like the ipad meaning you could charge it and go maybe thats something value lights could look into as im sure there will be people out there who worry about plugging electrical things in and leaving them on or might be worried about costs etc.

Research shows that the lightbulbs and the lamps are very good for people living with sads.

Many people find the lamp helps them
although others may not find them as affective as light bulbs.
Some people will find the light bulbs work better and others will find the lightpad works better.

I must warn you the lightbulbs are very bright brighter than the normal light bulbs.
so be warned if you have who can't have bright lights due to illnesses or medications.

There lovely lady who lived in my mums road a few years back and her light bulb was so bright.
when I used to stand outside my mums house and smoke, I used to look down the road,
and wonder what the bright light was and wondered if it was This bright for me standing down the road how bright it must have been inside.

I Have also been Affected these few months of winter with feeling sad and gloomy.
So I will continue using the lightpad in the morning and at night to help relieve my symptoms.
I really cannot wait for summer to come now I am missing the lovely warm bright days.
But for now my mini sun will keep me going until we have nice bright mornings.

I Have added links to value lights social media accounts below.
Because value lights sell many other products including

And much much more.

You can follow and contact value lights via Facebook and Twitter and Website,
They sell many other lights also which can be used daily please feel free to check out the value lights website to see the wide range of products that value lights
